My every day revolves around typography, interiors, photography, vintage, new products & packaging.

I grew up in the early 1970s between London and the West Sussex & Cornish coast - a time of bold colours, wild patterns, funny Disney cartoons, exciting confectionary, colourful Converse, clashing retro patterns, plastic everything and design that didn’t take itself too seriously. Life was bright, simple and unapologetically fun. Alongside that came sand between my toes, salt in my hair, sun-kissed skin, vast skies and the unmistakable scent of the sea.

In the early 1990s, I earned honours degrees in both Fine Art and Primary Education on the Devon coast, before returning to London to study Graphic Design in 1994. It was there that I met two key influences: John Gillard, (whose unconforming thinking and creative brilliance left a lasting impression) - and Mac : The Power Macintosh. That’s when my visual language really began to take shape. Composition, originality and problem solving became the heart of everything I created - both in my personal work and for my clients.

In the late ’90s, I spent a year living on the coast of Queensland, Australia - a paradise of endless beaches and vibrant outdoor living. From dawn to dusk life took place outside surrounded by the colours of the ocean, sky and undeniably clean sunlight - a dream setting for any beach-loving artist.

During that time, my creative palette was transformed by bold blocks of colour: verticals that lifted, horizontals that grounded and skies that stretched endlessly. That influence still runs through much of my work today. It wasn’t until I returned to the UK that I realised just how much I had come to rely on colour to feel truly alive.

Now, I’m back in West Sussex with my own family, living close to the same stretch of coastline that my husband and I both grew up exploring and we're now passing down the same barefoot memories and coastal adventures to our children. We also now exploring the stunningly beautiful coastline of the Island on the Solent.

Never underestimate what's right on your doorstep. No flight necessary.
